fhVertexmapTools is a plugin for MAXON Cinema 4D. It currently contains two plugins, fhVertexmapSelect and fhVertexmapShade, which can be considered as vertex map output and input plugins. Both plugins appear as tags inside of Cinema 4D.
A Cinema 4D tag plugin to convert vertex map data into point, edge or polygon selections. The weight information - the shading of the vertex map - can be translated into noise driven selection patterns.
A Cinema 4D tag plugin to convert shader data into into vertex map data. You need an uvw map and a vertexmap. The tag will let you define a shader which is then being mapped onto the vertexmap.
